The Government’s consultation on the future of local government in Staffordshire and Stoke‑on‑Trent has now closed. Thank you to everyone who took the time to share their views.
The Government is now reviewing all the responses it has received. Ministers will consider the feedback over the coming months before making a decision on how local government in our area could change. A decision is expected in the summer of 2026.
As soon as the Government provides an update, we will share it.
